Cam Ward’s second camp is moving faster
Ward opened Tennessee’s scrimmage 11-of-12 and the offense was getting to the line early enough to leave him time before the snap.
Will Boling had Ward completing his first eight passes and finishing the first two drives 11-of-12, including a touchdown to Gunner Helm.
Zach Lyons also noted quicker decisions and a faster operation at the line. Turron Davenport reported a strike to Wan’Dale Robinson on the move, while also logging pressure that ended another snap.
That is a cleaner night, not proof of a leap. The pace before the snap is the part that can carry into September.

Logged both a rollout completion to Wan’Dale Robinson and a Jeffery Simmons pressure.
Next check: Whether the quicker operation holds up once Tennessee faces disguised pressure and longer down-and-distance situations.
